Is anyone else suffering with this problem? My Sky+ box has been fine for the last 18months but since the firmware update last week, my box seems to freeze up or crash every night. The problem only occurs very late in the evening / early morning and the box either turns itself off or becomes completely unresponsive to the remote (and continues to show the channel that was selected).

If I pull the mains power and reboot, everything is fine until the next night. I have tried a forced firmware upgrade but it hasn't helped...

    Any ideas?

    Steve

If you haven't got too many programmes stored, go to the Service Menu (Services, 4, 0, 1, Select), and rebuild the planner. That might help.

Thanks Nick... I will have to check my list but I will give it a go. Out of interest, is this just a guess or are you aware of this being a fix to this type of problem?

    Cheers

I've noticed some odd behaviour in our box in the last week or so.

We get the occasional blank screen. It only lasts for a split second, but is very annoying. This never happened before.

Also on Sunday night at exactly midnight a blank green screen appeared for about a second, the box then turned itself off, and it wouldn't turn on for a good minute or so. Was this some sort of remote reboot?

    The latest is:

    OS version : 1.31A8
    EPG version : 1.28.d

It was updated a little over a week ago I think... i'm afraid I can't remember exactly.

I feed my Pace Sky+ box from a UPS, and never switch it to standby, so if it's on standby when I get up in the morning, I know it's because Sky have re-booted it. It was on standby this morning - the EPG version is 1.28d.

Nick - thats interesting because mine did an auto shut down and reboot last night at 11pm.. I thought it was another 'crash' but maybe they've realised that the last firmware update was pants and have quickly issued another one!

Will have to wait and see I guess!
