    Hi.
I've just been 'lent' a Sky digibox, as I've moved flats and there is no aerial (for my freeview box), but there is a Sky dish.
I've seen on eBay, Sky Freeview cards for about £20, which give me all the freeview channels and more...

    My Questions are:
If I get one of these cards, would I need to 'register' it with Sky?
    AND
With this card, would i be able to upgrade to one of the cheap Sky packages (£19.95 pm) WITHOUT having to commit to a 12 month contract?

    Many thanks in advance

Sky supply them for £20, so why bother buying a, possibly, dodgy one from e-bay.Any subscription package carries a minimum 12 month contract.

Sky (may have been lying) told me that you do not have to have a 12 month contract if you do not receive any subsidised equipment - I was in a similar situation previously and was given a "second hand" contract which I cancelled without penalty after 8 months
