    Hi.

Can anyone tell me where I could find out if sky are going to transmit all ITV, channel 4 and Five. I have just built a Media Centre with a Digital satellite card installed in addition I have fitted a Sky Quad LNB (one to feed the existing Sky decoder and another to feed the Media Centre).

Am I correct in thinking that sky must be encrypting ITV, 4 and 5 in some way.

    Thanks and Regards

SKY do not control ITV, CH4 or Five.
They are independent channels which for broadcast rights issues are encrypted on digital satellite. They use SKY's variant of Videoguard which is why you must use a SKY digibox and smartcard (Freesat or subscription) to watch them.

For the next few years at least your best bet would be a DTT card in your media center (location allowing of course) since apart from the TUTV channels they are FTA.
