Sky+ for pensioners

When my mother lived with family she had a Sky+ box installed. All she ever used it for was to pause Trisha while she popped to the loo etc.

Now she lives in sheltered accommodation with a single feed. Justs called sky to see how much it would cost to have the functionality back on the box. At the moment it has a free sat card.

£25 per month, or £300 per year.

Off to find a simple to use freeview box that is easy to use.

Any reccommendations? She'll never use the record facility so disk size is not an issue. The remote has got to be able to work her tv as well. She can't cope with two remotes.

Hi there,
I set up a Humax F2-FOXT freeview box for my 83 year old Mum. The remote is large, easy for her to operate and was set up to contol her tv. I can recommend this box for anyone who needs to keep the operation simple.
