FYI all those of you living outside the UK, I just received this from my Man in Bavaria: "Dateline 19.07.01 In the last 24 hours Sky One has moved to one of the new "UK only" transponders on the satellite Astra 2D. This means that many viewers in central, southern and eastern Europe can no longer receive this channel when using the standard 43cm "minidish", ( for a detailed coverage map see http://www.astra.lu/images/footprints/2_d.gif ). In order to recover this channel many viewers will need a dish in excess of 1.2metres Sky One joins a number of (more obscure!) channels such as Hallmark, Tara, and a number of Box Office channels who now use this new satellite since February this year, and will also be used by ITV when it comes on-air at the end of 2001 Sky have not provided and public reason for this move, but it is possible that it is simply temporary. A further satellite is expected to start transmissions later this year, which should have full coverage of Europe, so it is possible that those channels currently lost to ex-patriots, may move over to this and therefore return to view."
