After puzzling over why my Sky+ box kept resetting itself it has dawned on me that the fan is no longer working. I'm noticing quite a few people with Sky+ are running into problems now with the v1 box..might be worth thinking as to when did you last hear the fan going?

I'm thinking of replacing the Papst 612NGL (as it has an excellent 16dB low noise rating) with another the same but run permanently via a Fanmate fan speed controller.

Any one know where I can source one from, as so far the only place I've found is www.kustompcs.co.uk which has them with a 4 pin power style connector (would then be always on at full speed, rather than via the Fanmate). Anyone know anywhere that does them with the standard 3 pin fan m/board connector

Can you get them as a spare part from Pace with the 2 pin connector?

    Regards
