I seem to be getting lots of 'Failed' recordings on sky+.
I have called 'sky' a couple of times, but they say it's down to a software problem and have no idea when it will be updated.
Does anyone else get this fault. Is their a software problem or are they fobbing me off. I have an amstrad box about 6 months old and it happens about 3 times a week.

Can't way I've heard of it being a software problem I've had around 3 failed recordings in over 2 years of Sky+ ownership.

You might want to try a planner rebuild - although this will delete ALL recordings.

    Press:

    Select

    and then choose option 7.

I've not tried that, I've done the housekeeping one a couple of times, but with no joy. I just got a few recordings I don't want to loose, but if this continues I might have to go with the rebuild.

The only time I've ever had failed recording is when I've done something silly myself like trying to record 2 programs at the same time as watching a 2rd channel, other than that I've not had any failures. Are your signal strengths OK ? Which Sky+ box do you have ?

It's an amstrad. Yep signal strengths seem fine.
