    Ordered a Sky+ 160 with multi room due to be installed today and the engineer has just turned up without the Sky +160 box. Now waiting for a call from customer services to try and sort this out. I am somewhat disappointed to say the least.

    Part of the reason for this upgrade was because I currently have a failing Cambridge LNB causing freezing of the picture and sound problems.

    The engineer says he can't change the LNB if he hasn't got the Sky box to install. So I am left with poor quality reception and no Sky +.

    Anyone else had this happen before?

    Will post again after CS phone.

    Tell them that you are extremely disappointed, and that you are thinking of cancelling. They will probably offer you 3 months at half price or free.

    Sky CS didn't bother to phone me so at about 11:00 I phoned them. They admit that they have made a mistake with the paperwork but don't seem to want to go out of their way to sort it out.

    I asked them to get the engineer to install the Pace V2 that he had with him and then swap it for the Thompson 160 box when it arrived. They would not do this. I even offered to pay £99 for the pace and still have the 160 box when it arrived but they said they could not do that either.

    It's gone 13:00 and still no call back from CS to arrange a new install date.

    @Nick_UK

    Thanks for the advice. I will keep it in mind if and when CS phone me back.

    I would at least ask for 3 months free viewing for the hassle you have had.

    3 months only?

    Ask for more, 6 months free, then 5 free etc
    No luck go for 12 months half price, 11 half price etc

    LOL, come on this is close to compensation.
