I've just signed up with Sky B/B and went live last night after being with BT. Downlaod speed is about 2.5 x's that of BT on the mid range facility ie £5 a month, so far therefore I am pretty pleased. I am still able to use my BT/Yahoo email system and haven't yet logged into the Sky email service. Can anyone tell me if there is any reason why I need to access the Sky email system as I am quite happy with the BT/ Yahoo which I can still access I am not technical so not sure if I am missing a trick. Thanks.

    Well 2 main reasons really.
    1) Sky will use the sky email address if they want to communicate with you.
    2) Your BT/Yahoo email address may eventually stop working, as it is a service that you are no longer paying for.

Remember you can also access sky email via your web browser here.

BT will charge you dial up rate to access the mailbox, if you dont want to use it (i didnt want to get charged) then i recommend you access the Sky email and get the emails forwarded from BT to Sky.

After inactivity of 90 days your BT account will be suspended.

I was a bit miffed with BT when i moved to Sky as i didnt get the letter from Sky regarding activation as it got caught up in xmas post and BT moved me onto to dial up so they were charging me for about 7 days.

Finally i do not get on with Sky email so i forward everything to Windows Mail now.

Sky user is quite a good website to take a look at.
