Sky + dummy recordings

Hi,

I've just moved into a new flat with a communal dish and only have a single feed to my sky+ box, I've been reading up on the dummy recording method so I can record different programs while im out. I've set up a 24 hour dummy recording and it seems to be working fine but a I have a small question if anyone can help, currently I've been keeping my sky + box on (greenlight) all the time, will the dummy recording method work if the box is kept on standby (red light)?

Should have no problem in standby - at least I never did when testing it before originally posting it.

cheers dave, was gutted when i found out i had to share a dish because my brother lived in a flat in the same situation and explained how much of a pain it was on a single feed but i guess its not as bad with the process you made up.
