I'm working out the location of where i want to put my Sky dish.

I know it must be 28 degrees South East, and the angle of projection etc.

How unobstructed must the dish be - i'm concerned the adjoining properties in my terrace may slightly overhang the wall i want it on.

    Thanks

It would need to clear an angle of somewhere between 21 and 25 degrees elevation , depending on where you live (your latitude).
I am sure elevation tables must exist somewhere on the web (or use SMWlink software downloadable from www.smw.se)

To check once you know the required elevation, use a protractor and pipe, looking through the pipe at the required angle from where you could site the dish ; if a rooftop obstructs your view at the required angle , you need to find an alternative position for your dish .
