Sick of this now One box replaced before I new about the software problem (cost me £80). New box then started acting the same - found out about software problem and stopped using the numbers or up/down arrows to change channel - worked fine for a few weeks. Now - presumably after yet another 'update' from sky even this workaround is useless. The box will work for from a few seconds to half an hour and then crash to flashing rubbish followed by a green screen. The remote signal light works when you press the buttons but the box will not turn on/off etc. Unplugging sometimes resets the box for another go straight away but sometimes it has to be left turned off all night before it will reboot.

Is there a way to reset the box fully other than turning it off for a while.

I have also tried the forced download on this box and the previous one, while I had it, all to no avail

How can they get away with charging so much when it doesn't even work properly 50% of the time. First LNB I had didn't work in the rain

When you say you've tried the "forced download" are you referring to the software upgrade? 'Cause I had exactly the same problems as you when I first got my Panasonic box but they were all cured after I did the software upgrade.

Yes - the software upgrade performed by holding down backup when turning on. I was running EPG version 2.7bb5* (OS 1.2S4Ba) now I'm on version 2.9bb9* (OS 1.2S4Bc)

Sky replaced my digibox free of charge last week. I got a silver Pannie. Worked fine on the bb5* software, but a couple of days ago, I noticed it was missing channels and the interactive screen was coming on unexpectedly. Checked software version, bb9*. They have done it again. I had a good result, but now they have bugged it again!

Panasonic are going to replace the box again at no cost to me. Fingers crossed this one keeps going.

I must say that I don't appear to have had the lost channels problems that others have had - the box just dies to a green (previously to black) screen and sometimes it has to be left unplugged all night before it will even reboot.

Panasonic have replaced the box again and this one came working with the bb9* software installed. Fingers crossed it stays like that. The centre pin on the second RF out is broken off though - quality
