Sky Dig with a standard DVB-S?

    If there was a suitable CAM for Sky Dig (Videoguard) would basic sky dig be possible with a standard receiver?

    More than likely but this ain't gonna happen because the sky decryption is also in the box itself.

    + it would be easier for hackers to break the encryption if it was just in a cam module

    I suspected as much. The reason I asked is because I would like to use a single digibox, looks like sky has blocked this route entirely.
