Are the Sky/Currys installers any good these days ?
I'm looking to get Sky+ and need to decide wether to go to a specialist installer or not.
For my 1st analogue installation the Sky installers cocked it up so many times I ended up getting all my money back after 10 months.

I had sky and the guy was thorough and courtious (even though he wouldnt connect to the socket Id fitted).

But he didnt wreck anything or make mistakes. He even placed the dish in an area I wouldnt have thought of so that its not visible from the street (which is ideal seeing as Im in a conservation area and I didnt get planning permission)

Oh dear oh my, another enquiry about SKY. Most retailers are only ''agents'' for Sky so that means it is the Sky guys that come out. Unfortunatley its pot luck on ''who'' sky send out, your fine and dandy if it is proper sky installer, but in peak seasons they also use contractors :( The contractors stink
