As a present Sky subscriber, how much does it cost me if I don't want multi-room.

I have just been on the phone to Sky and I'm so confused.

It seems if I don't want multi-room Sky want £250 inc install costs and I'm not sure how much per month.

I just could not get any sense out of the Guy. :suicide:

    Thanks for any help.

Get multiroom, that way they hook up a connection in another room and then cancel it after the first month and just use it for the free channels or bin it.

Sky+ without multi-room is £199 for the box, plus £60 installation. The subscription will cost you no more than it does already, if you subscribe to more than one "premium" channel (i.e. sports or movies), otherwise it's £10 a month extra.

You can't do that - the minimum contract for multi-room is 12 months. If you cancel before the 12 months is up, Sky will debit the single-box charge from your account.

    Thanks for the answers.

If I get multi-room, do they give you a brand new second box? or do they want to move your present one? Just working out the costs, as I need another box for FreeSat.

    Thanks again Guys

I bought a Sky+ box and a quad LNB for about £110 for the pair, just swapped the lnd over and ran another cable to the Sky+ box and that was it, no contract, no phoneline needed and just had to call them up and get them to match my card to the new box.

They move your old box to another room for you.

Got fed up with Sky and decided to cancel and go for FreeSat, that will teach them I thought

Anyway, got through to the cancellation department and very charming lady offered me a refurbish Sky + for £49 inc Install and I did not have to have multi-room.
