After months and months of indecision I have been lured by Sky+160 and the special offer of £299 and free installation.

I am expecting delivery this afternoon and, in preparation, have disconnected my VCR and Nokia digital receiver. All that will remain, for now, will be my DVD player and the SKY box.

The DVD player is a Toshiba 520 connected via component leads to a 56" Toshiba RPTV.
How do I ensure the best possible reception, connection wise?
It should be perfectly straight forward but any advice or tips will be gratefully received.

    Many thanks, Brian.

Best connection from the Sky+ box is RGB scart. Just make sure you set it to RGB in the settings menu. I think the AV1 scart on the Tosh is RGB.

Either a straight (good) Scart to Scart, or Scart - VGA via a JS convertor. I'm unsure what connections your RPTV has.

    John,
Thank you for your response. It's just as I thought. You're correct about the Tosh RGB scart.

    Blu Ray,
Thank you also, although I have no idea what vga or JS convertors are !

    Brian.
