Currys are selling them at £249 which is only a pound cheaper than SKY sell them for. I do not know if they still include the Quad LNB in the purchase price though.

G.M I've decided to sell my Sky + box so it could be yours for £200. This includes the box, Dish with Quad LNB and cable. There is also 4 years left to run on the extended guarante.

Hmmm..........not sure about the etiquette of this under the new dealing rules, particularly as GM hasn't made an offer at all and I will be the first to offer you the asking price of£200.

However, its probably fair if GM has first dibs so I will wait in the queue to see what happens. As I want to get it installed in time for Christmas, I'll give it a couple of days before going off to buy one from Sky though.

    Cheers

Sorry Guys, but I do need to find out what's going on here and where we are up to !

Jediblade, I see you've been on the forum a couple of times since I posted my offer yet haven't responded to it on this thread.

I've got no problem with that, particularly as I've tried to follow rules in wishing to buy this Sky+ stuff from you. Indeed, I've even got no problem should you not wish to sell it to me, I just want to know one way or the other, as its holding me back from doing other things !

Hope this makes sense, but if you are going to put something up for sale, it's probably sensible to get back to a buyer before too long.

    Looking forward to a response.

    Cheers for now

Thanks for that G. M. Kind of you to allow me to proceed.

Good idea about the PM but just trying to keep everything in public in the forum as rules require.

Just don't understand why when someone puts something up for sale, they then don't answer (or monitor) buyer's posts, particularly when the buyer has already offered the full price wanted without quibble and despite the seller having been on the forum since !

The annoying thing is that if Jediblade doesn't now want to sell the Sky+ stuff, he / she just has to say so ! There's no problem in that, it's just that it wastes everyone's time waiting if there is no reply at all.

    Thanks once again anyway.

I got my Sky+ box from Sky Direct about 3 months ago, they were doing a deal, £199 for the box + £50 installation.
Then my monthly charges are £10 for Sky+ and £5 per month for my old digibox to have my full programme package in another room.
I basically rang them up and told them I wanted it but wasnt going to pay silly money, they called me the next morning offering the above.

    Give it a try.

i've just got a very similar deal under some loyalty package. However, they insisted i went back up to a world package, i had got rid of the movies a month before.

Have you got a world package already?
