Sky Card Any Good?

    HI
    I have been given a digibox with one of the latest sky cards which is now turnd off
    can i get the card to decode itv chan 4 etc
    the Sat free viewing cards are now no longer availeble so i carnt go down that route

    I'm sure wiser than me will respond, but no, I don't believe so. Cards are available at a premium on Ebay, & if you search this forum, elsewhere too if I'm not mistaken.

    I have been told that if i subscribe to any package for the minimum period when this is up the card will continue to work on ITV ect when i cancell

    It may be an easy way into an ITV card!!

    This is what i got from a dealer

    Hi, Pat, as you know the FTV cards are no longer available from CH4 since 31st Jan 2004. The only way is to subscribe to any pay-to-view channel and then cancel the subscription after the minimum period. The card will then remain active on ITV/CH4/CH5.

    You could also buy one on the black market. prices are around £60 and rising. I have a number of cards purchased in this way, but am keeping them for people who wish to install a system.
