I cancelled my Sky subscription about 6 months ago and since then i have still been able to use the digibox to receive the terrestial channels - until now....i no longer have a signal.

Is this something that has changed since the introduction of freeview etc? or is there possible a problem with my dish/box?

    Cheers

What do you mean by "i no longer have a signal"?

If the digibox is reporting "No Signal" then you have a hardware fault which could be located almost anywhere in the system. I assume this is the case since even without a smartcard you should still be able to watch the BBC channels on Dsat.

Freeview launched nearly two years ago, it has no impact on the ability to receive certain channels on Dsat and while in that time the supply of FTV cards has been a complete farce if you have an ex-subscription SKY smartcard (version2) then you will have no problems.

yes my dish is installed, and as for being tight, i cant justify paying the subs fees when i never watch the other channels, however the quality of the picture is what i initially had sky for in the first place as my location warrants a 50 ft aerial for a decent picture..

I get the message, "no satelite signal is being received".
This is all i needed confirming really, i just assumed Sky had decided to cut my connection completely. But if its hardware failure, i can get it sorted.

    cheers
