I have a sky sat dish with two cables running to a sky plus box.... question ...can i use one of these to split down to one of the new freesat boxes without interrupting the sky signal and if so how????:D

Not as such, you can split one feed but both boxes send commands to the LNB via the cable so you'll be causing yourself no end of problems.
If you have a Quad LNB (very likely given SKY dropped the Twin LNB fairly early on) so you can simply add a third feed for a Freesat box.

Thats Great thanks for the advise will conect a third line
regards Tony

Use both of the two spare LNB outputs and run two lines. You'll be glad you did when you decide to upgrade to a freesat "PVR" box later.
