If I order Sky+ will the engineer use my existing sky cable or will he have to run another one?

most subbys will just run another cable, most sky employees usually run ct63 shotgun cable, which in my opinion is:thumbsdow according to cable run etc has more loss than ct100

you need two cables for sky+ but your original will do for one of them.

you might be better off speaking to the installer and asking if he will run you 2 new ct100, you might have to offer him a drink.....
it all depends on how old your existing cable is, if its not too old just run 1 new ct100
