sky box

A friend of mine has got a free to view card from sky and has asked me to get him a box. As I have never had sky I am at a loss to know which one to buy he does not need sky+ or HD but it does need to be new rather than second hand. Have seen the Thomson DSI 4214 is this the latest box available? does anyone have a reccommendation as this is really not my area of expertise

I take it your friend has just moved into a property with an existing dish and cabling?

Quite frankly, when you can get a second hand box for about £5 on fleabay, I do not understand why the box, circa £75, has to be new. You can buy a lot of used boxes for the cost of a new one.
