    Ive been offered a secondhand sky+box. Will it work ok conected with one sat input. Will all the outputs work the same. I know i wont be able to record one channel while watcing another. What would a resonable price be for a sky+ box

    Unless you have a Sky+ subscription the record won't work at all. It will be just like a standard Digibox. Should work ok I think.

    Even if you pay the Sky+ subscription (or have a package which enables the subscription to be waived), you will not be able to use the box properly without a dual or quad LNB connected to both box inputs. You will be able to use live pause and rewind, and record the programme you are watching, but other functions either won't function or will malfunction.

    Thanks for the help will probably not bother with it then. Might go for a seperate hard drive recoreder
