    Hi,

I've had Sky+ almost since day one and use it heavily, obviously I have one of the original PACE boxes and I'm wondering what my best options are to pro-actively prepare/prevent it's eventual demise as I've noticed the odd rewind glitch and the HD is starting to get noisy.

So I'm wondering if simply fitting a new bigger say Maxtor (assume with it's fluid bearings it'll be nice and quiet) would be my best bet in terms of a bit of home reconditioning?

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    Si

Upgrading the HDD to see if it cures the problem isn't going to lose you anything either way really is it, if it turns out you need a new box you then have a big HDD to put in it straightaway, and will have already performed one upgrade and thus be more confident!!!
