Hi All,

We have a Sky+ box in our bedroom... we initially had problems where it wouldnt shut off or would startup by itself...

we dissabled the anytime which seem to have sorted the original problem.... :smashin:

But now, it seems to start to run up the disc drive for a few seconds, it seems to do this at about 5:30 am or about 4:30 am... which is becomming anoying....:lease:

So had resorted to pulling the power cord out.... Any ideas how to stop this?...:smashin:

Insert a timer into the power line so that the power to the unit is not available overnight. This will cause a delay when you first switch the unit on next day while it does its housekeeping, searches for channels etc and may cause it to loose new downloaded software updates. It may possibly result in a letter from Sky asking you to keep it switched on all the time

It will also save a chunk on the electricity bill, as these units draw lots of watts, even on standby:boring:

cheers 961...:smashin:
