Question SKY+ box and failed recordings

Got a SKY+ box that must be about 4 years old or so. Its had some heavy use and now, I often get a Failure notice in SKY Planner, where it didn't record the program.

Does this mean its time to ditch the SKY+ box and buy a new one?

Have you tried the usual such as a planner rebuild?

If you subscribe to Sky just ask them for a free replacement new machine.

Try it and find out how much/little they will charge you.
