SKY+ Backup / To PC

I am looking to backup my SKY+ programmes onto PC. As there is no direct way of doing this in the digital domain the only option is to capture the playback in real-time, at the highest quality possible.

Can anyone suggest the best hardware and software to do this? I'm guessing I would need some form of video capture card? I would only require basic editing of programmes once they are on my PC.

I also want to playback any recorded (or captured) programmes that are on my PC back out onto a normal TV.
