Since having my new LG Home Cinema connected via optical cable to Sky+ system, I have yet to watch something in surround, have changed sound in Sky+ to dolby digital, but no luck, is it broadcast specific? we only watch the soaps on Sky really, like eastenders etc, do they not show in surround?

The only things on sky I've noticed in surround sound are the films.

If you press info on the program you're watching the sound details are shown in the top right hand corner.

I get surround on lots of sky programmes! But afraid its just dolby pro logic as my tv (CRT) has a built in decoder:rotfl:

AS Richfell says, only movies on Sky+ are in DD5.1.
