I have an Amstrad sky+ box and have had a number of problems with it since the day it was installed. My most current problem is that the picture and audio go out of sync with each other on recorded programs and occasionally jump/skip a few minutes of recording. On speaking to shy's technical help desk they told me that static on the scart lead was the cause of the problem and that if I disconnected the lead from both ends this would be rectified.
Am I being led up the garden path on this one? The engineer went on to tell me that static on the said scart lead could lead to virtually every problem that I have seen on this forum: blue screen, no signal, wrong time, missing channels, jumping recording, audio/vis sync problems........
Is this possible and if so is it a fault with the box.
Any feedback would be appreciated
