sky+ and sony 510s qustion

    If anyone can help me, i have sky+ I'm thinking off canceling it will i still be able to play the recordings on the hard drive? will the box auto view function turn on my sony 510s DVD recorder when its in synchro rec? any help much appreciated

    And no. The Sky+ does not have an autoview function.

    Thanks for the reply xx xx and Dave p i think it unfair you have to pay that 10 per month to use the sky + function's i brought the 510 because i thought the syncro rec would activate when you select auto view, looks like IL have to find a cheap sky box and buy that phantom pvr from blue delta .co.uk.

    If your DVDR has auto-record then you won't need a Phantom PVR to make it work with autoview on the regular Sky box. The Phantom PVR is for use with regular Sky boxes and DVDRs that don't support the auto-record function. These are quite rare.
