To have our Sky dish moved to our new house, it will cost us £40. This will include a new dish.

If I cancel the current subscription and take a new contract out it will cost us £1 for a new box, dish, etc.

I just tried to cancel the current contract, but the guy from Sky said we cant do this becuase we have Sky before and we will be charged the full price for the dish and box.

I have read there terms and condition, but it mentions nothing about old contracts.

    It had the following statement:

    (g) You are entitled to one Interactive Discount per household.

Does the new house/address count as a new household?

I can pay the £40 and have the dish re-located. I really want a new box and remote because I want to use the old system in the front room and use the new dish/box in the through lounge. I know I will require a twin LNB (Bribe the engineer :)). Have the old box as FTV.

    Any advice?

You should have cancelled your current subscription and given any reason other than moving house, that way when you moved SKY would have lost track of you and you could sign up again under your partners name.
If you or members of your household have benefited from a subsidised install then you can not have another one unless you choose to defraud/fool SKY, something many people have done with a clear conscience:)

Worked for me, however, if there is a minidish already there and you want the £1 install for a second system the installer will give you a second minidish next to the original (ugly) - to remove the original and utilise just the one dish requires a dual LNB which he/she can install for around £60 cash:rolleyes:

When you move, can you take your old dish with you anyway? I mean do the cancel and resign under your other halves name with a new contract, but have a spare dish/LNB too.

Or does it have to be left at the old house?

When I moved house they asked me to leave the dish
and just take the Digi Box to the new house :D

I did not want this so I cancelled Sky , this was over a year
ago , I'am soon going to give Sky a call and get Sky +

There should not be any problems in doing this ! ! !
