does anyone know why sky one used macrovision on mutant X on wednesday?
Is this going to be a regular thing?
did they use it on sky+?
is there a hidden agenda?

SKY+ turned on macrovision when I tried to copy SG1 to vhs a few weeks ago.
Rebooted the machine and the software bug went away, maybe a standard digibox can have the same problem?
Looking in the EPG Mutant-X isn't copy protected so should record fine.

Did you know it was repeated on Sunday?

I recorded both SG1 and Mutant-X onto vhs direct from the SKY+ output as they were shown between 8pm and 10pm on the 24th.
Both recorded fine so it's a bit of a puzzle:(
Since your recorded SG1 it's obviously not a vcr problem and since I recorded Mutant-x there isn't a problem with transmission. That leaves the digibox, did you do a reboot?
It maybe the software is throwing out the macrovision flag for some reason like my SKY+ did.
