    Hi all,
Could someone please tell me what connection type to choose for the connection between Sky+ and a Panasonic E55? I have it set to RGB but I'm not sure whether it should be on 'Normal' or 'Decoder' since the manual states normal for a satellite receiver but decoder for scrambled 'pay tv'.... isnt Sky+ both of those things?

    Hope you can help,

    Nilpferd

Which one gives a picture? - that's always a good indication you have the right setting! ;) Unless you have an abnormal setup go for 'Normal'.

Set to normal I think. Can I ask does Sky+ output a RGB feed fron the vcr Scart as normal sky box doesn't.

No it doesn't - the reasoning behind such design, as always, is because VCRs cannot record RGB signals. Digital recorders are too new to have been considered in such designs yet.

If you set to decoder you can view sky on your tv whether the recorder is recording or not, and don't need a seperate connection from the digibox to the tv to use when the unit is recording when set to normal.
However in decoder mode it will only record from the av2 input, no matter what analogue channel you set it up to record from. THis makes sence only if you have a cable or digibox source and no normal aerial, or never, ever record from analogue whilst watching a sky programme.
