Does anyone know if the 2nd output from the Sky receiver work with a Sony KDL40W2000 TV?

Allowing you to change Sky channels via the TV Link (Magic Eye) ?

The Sky TV link will work with on any TV, after installing the link you need to go into the service menu on sky and select 4, then 0, then 1. This will bring up the installers menu, so you can turn on the power supply to the 2nd RF output and this will also bring up the RF channel number for you to tune your TV to, so you can view sky.

Cheers

Thanks gjp, I have it working at the moment on an old Sony analogue TV, so I should be able to just plug the link cable in plus the TV Link to a new Sony LCD and all should be okay when I select the right TV channel. :)

I guess I will have to do a channel search on the TV to find the Sky link input.

If you old set was 4:3 and the new LCD is 16:9 don't forget to change the screen ratio on RF2 outlet (services, settings, picture settings).

If my only input to the Sony KDL-40W2000 is via the Sky TV Link output will I still be able to select and watch the TV's Freeview channels or only Sky?

YES.

My ariel goes into the my sky box, and outputs via RF1 and RF2, RF1 to my TV downstairs and RF2 to my TV upstairs can receive freeview as well as Sky. I have only had TV's with built in freeview for a few weeks and I was suprised and pleased that I did not lose out by having my ariel going into my sky box first. Or course the sky remote will not control the freeview on your TV, so you will still need your TV remote to change channels etc when watching freeview.

Sorry forgot to mention, it will only work if you have an ariel connected to your sky box in the first place.
