Question Sky ADSL to Fibre changeover

hi all, just looking for some advice please.

I have recently upgraded to Sky Fibre and Sky Q.

My broadband is changing over from normal Sky ADSL to Sky Fibre this week and the Sky Q Hub has arrived.

At the point of changeover, will the Sky Fibre work with the Sky Hub until I change over to the Sky Q Hub, or will it not work until the Sky Q Hub is installed?

Thank you in advance.

Wrong forum. But anyway. Are you changing to Full Fibre all the way (FTTP) or FTTC? If the latter the final leg still comes through the telephone line and I suspect the actual Hub makes little difference.

Sorry for putting this in the wrong thread, just went straight to the Sky Digital TV forum.

It's FTTC - telephone line is still a copper connection in the house.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

There is a difference between ADSL and VDSL (fibre). When I switched from ADSL to fibre, I had to alter a setting in my Netgear router from ADSL to VDSL.

During my troubles with BT they chopped and changed me between FTTC and “copper” Broadband a lot and I didn’t have to touch my router once. FTTP Day is tomorrow.
