Sky adds first interactive Sudoku game to Gamestar service for Sky Digital users

    Sky has announced that from Thursday (22 September), Sky Digital customers will be able to play the UK's first interactive TV Sudoku puzzle - Puzzler Sudoku - via their remote control.</p><P>Using content supplied by Puzzler Media, the creators of the UK's best-selling Sudoku magazine, Sky's interactive puzzle follows the same principles as the print version that has taken the UK by storm. The player simply fills in a 9x9 grid in such a way that every row and column and every 3x3 box contains the numbers 1-9. The same number cannot appear twice in any row, column, or 3x3 box.</p><P>The Sky Gamestar version features interactive extras including: <br>* Demo - Viewers can find out how the experts play Sudoku.<br>* Four levels of difficulty - Choose from 'Easy', 'Mild', 'Medium' or 'Hard'. <br>* Cheat - If players need help with a number the 'Cheat' button fills in a random square.<br>* Pen or pencil - Toggle between pen and pencil and enter up to nine pencil numbers into a single cell, then delete each number as others are crossed-off. <br>* Check - When finished, Puzzler Sudoku will check the answers, highlighting any mistakes, players can chose to move on or correct the errors.<br>* Timer - This feature displays the length of time taken to complete.<br>* HighScore - An extra game where players can submit high scores for the chance to win prizes. <br>* Skip - Each level has 3 grids to work through, or you can simply skip between grids.<br>* Rows & Columns - Highlighted columns and rows <br>* Paths - This extra feature shows matching numbers across the grid </p><P>To play select 'Interactive' on the Sky remote, go to 'Sky Gamestar', and either scroll right to Puzzler, or press the green button and select 'Sudoku' from the list. Players can purchase three complete puzzles at any one level for 60p or have unlimited access to all four levels of puzzles for £1.00 per session.
