    looking for a little advice please have sky hd samsung 3d tv an lg 3d blu ray home cinema
    the question is should i plug optical lead from sky to home cinema for 5:1 from sky or from tv to home cinema ,at the moment sky is connected to tv through hdmi leed and then out from tv to h/c

    Sky only carries 2ch audio via hdmi so for 5.1 audio optical is needed...no biggie as there is no lossless audio from sky..

    :confused: Its for f1 wanny watch in 5:1 suround there is optical output on back of sky hd box so plug that straight into H/C ?

    thanks guys for replys pluged into hd box last nite so much better but only on hd channels f1 is quality but :clap:

    Each programme on each channel provides its own form of audio - the way to find out which is to get the sound system to diaplay the format it's receiving.
