I rang them yesterday, I said I needed a new multi room box, they said the box is £254 but they have an offer for £199, I said too dear. They then mentioned that they had another offer that if you took a new multi room they would do it for £99, I already have a multi room so she had to go speak to a supervisor to see if I could get one for £99, supervisor obviously said yes as they offered it to me. I said ring me back after 6 and I will have my credit card details ready, I thought about it and when they rang me back I said I'd changed my mind but if they were to give it to me for £49 I;d take it, they declined;) It was a new 160 box, as they suggested i put it in my main room and my older box in multi room.

So yes you can get them for £99

I had the offer of £99 before i got these two boxes, but the also wanted £10 a month extra for the mulriroom, crafty sods they are.
thats why i bought a sky+ and had a quad LNB and bought a extra freeview card on ebay, so i have a multiroom but am not paying £10 a month if that makes sense, i saved £120 and got the quad LNB and used my existing box for multiroom.

No, you don't have multiroom. Multiroom gives you all your pay channels in both places at the same time, and that is why you pay £10 for it.

You just have one Sky subscription and one Freesat (not Freeview) box.

I don't know what you paid for the extra viewing card (these can't legally be sold, by the way, as they are the property of NDS/Sky) but you can get one that corresponds to your viewing area for £20 delivered from Sky.

so 'you' can get the box for £99, i am on an £18 package so 'i' cannot get a 160 box for £99, it would cost me £199 + £10 pm subscription.

It all boil's down to the fact they have us over a barrel every time!

I phoned to cancel sky movies, they said I would then have to pay £10 for sky+, I was sure that having a multi room done away with that, but they said no. I would of saved a fiver but that would of done away with Disney which my wee girl watches and that is a fiver, so ended up keeping the movies. ARGH
