    Hi de ho

My sky + box has started to skip and jump all over the place recently. I recorded Jake 2.0 the other night and it is not watchable tonight.

Is the hard drive packing up or is there a way to rectify this?

I have already had my box replaced once because the hard drive stopped working.

    TIA
    Mandy

A full system reset would be the first place to start, when you ring SKY that's one of the many steps they believe cures everything but it's worth the effort on the off chance it just's a bad sector or two on the HD.
Services 4 0 1 Select then option 7, it will wipe the hard drive and you will lose all recordings and series link data.

It certainly does sound like the HD is on it's last legs, the problem with getting a replacement SKY+ is that you don't know how old it was and why it entered into the refurb chain and plenty of refurbs fail quickly so you wonder how well they are repaired and tested.
