Am looking at buying a 32" Widescreen but am restricted by a recess that it has to fit into. Does anyone know of any that are particularly slimline at the back or am I going to have to buy a plasma TV?

Slim and crt television don't normally appear together in the same sentence. If you want slim look at a plasma. :)

What's the maximum depth you can get away with?

Oooh matron  :rotfl:

Michelle - Be careful that you leave enough ventilation at the back or the set will overheat. Some CRTs are much larger than others at the back (e.g. Tosh Picture frame set).

Or if you wat slim-ish, why not look at getting an RPTV?

Max depth is about 23" but the width at that point can only afford to be about 18". Therefore, to maintain the 24" or so width I am looking at a depth of about 12-15" only.

My Toshiba 42PW23P (42" widescreen RPTV) is...

100cm wide
116cm high
42cm deep
