Single LNB cable into humax box?

Hi,
I'm considering a newer humax freesat box. I currently have the foxsat hdr with one sat feed and use the loop through to feed both tuners. The newer Humax boxes don't have the loop through connection, so can I just use a splitter and it will still work (with the expected single LNB limitations)?
Want a quick and easy replacement without fitting new LNB and cables.

No need for a splitter, the link is automatically applied internally during setup when a single cable is detected. The new boxes can in fact do a bit more than the Foxsat. Any viewable channel is also time shiftable, and can be recorded from the buffer once one of the two recordings has completed. So you can set two recording reservations and a third watch reservation (which of course will depend on the two channels being recorded).
