Sims 2 Problems.

Morning all!!

My daughter has a small issue with the sims2.

For some reason, when the sims2 is installed and we go to install 'university' it freezes half way through installation.

I have checked the sims2 website, and all that tells you to do is uninstall, through various menus, and then try again.

We do have all the expansion packs and i was wondering if we should be installing them in the order they came out in the shops.

Any help would be very much appreciated as im pulling my hair out here!!!:suicide:

Cheers!!!!!:)

Quick update:
I have just discovered that it will install disc 1 (up tp 78%) and then when i insert disc 2, it reads the disc and spins but does not seem to progress. The drive then stops and the 78% progress bar stays up on screen.

i have also tried this game on 2 other computers and they seem to install fine.

HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar problem, I solved it by making use of my two dvd drives. put 1 in the first and 2 in the second, then install from one, then two, when one has finished put in 3 etc

Turn off your anti-virus. Install in the order the packs were released. Copy dsic one to your hard drive, and run the installation from there. But do not copy disc two, insert that when needed/

Thanks for all your replies.

I did forget to mention that it is the 'University' expansion pack that wont install. This is also when there are no other packs installed as i think this was the first one after the Sims2 was released?

All the other packs have installed fine.

Also, does anyone know the actual order they were released?

I will give the suggestions a try tomorrow.

Thanks again!
