i've just watched bart the dare devil and i'm sure they cut a scene where homer falls down the ravine a SECOND time after rolling out of the crashed ambulance, and the endind was a bit abrupt aswell. can anyone tell me if the R1 release has this scene in it?

    thanks.

oh' and why aren't R1 dvds cut anyway, or are they?

Yes, Homer falls down the cliff after failing to make it across to the other side when on the board .
Then later, he falls out the back of the ambulance.

That ain't what you saw?!

    From http://www.snpp.com/episodes/7F06.html : -
"Homer speeds down the ramp, and across the gorge. It looks like he's going to make it, but he doesn't. As if tumbling down the gorge is bad enough, the skateboard lands on him. A helicopter hauls him up, where he is placed into an ambulance. The ambulance tries to speed away, but immediately crashes into a tree; the back doors open, and Homer falls out, back down the gorge."

    Also:-
...there are two versions of "Bart the Daredevil" in the US/Canada. In the version aired on Sky scenes were removed (to make room for the "Do the Bartman" music video) but the version aired by the BBC retained them....

...Note: The scene where Homer falls down the gorge a second time in 'Bart the Daredevil' was not cut. That scene didn't actually appear in that episode - it was shown as a flashback in "So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show" .)....

    Or! Maybe it is cut.
7F06 Bart The Daredevil The first Fox and Global network broadcasts (12/06/90) were extensively cut and time compressed to make room for the "Do the Bartman" music video, which premiered after the closing credits. The full version was seen by Global viewers for the first time upon the episode's second showing (02/28/91). The second broadcast to Fox viewers, however, was cut again (identically, except that Homer's second fall over the cliff was now included) to make room for Desert Shield news coverage. Fox finally broadcast the original version upon the episode's third air date (08/29/91).

just watched my R1 version - its the same as the R2 - Homer falls down the cliff, helicopter picks him up and puts him in the ambulance which crashes and homer goes down the cliff again But
you dont see him fall down smashing his head etc like the first time.
