Just ordered The Simpsons Series 1 & 2 DVD box sets for £12.99 each at www.globalvideo.co.uk.
If you buy them both its free P & P as well.

A bargain for those of us that hadn't ordered them from the other thread on the go at the moment..

    Rich....

Thanks I've just ordered mine, and cancelled my previous orders at DVD.co.uk as they are too slow.

Never bought from Global before, hope they are good.

Just ordered Futurama 1 & 2 from Global. I tried the shop first, but they didn't think they would be getting them in.

Ordered them last night. Just checked the order status and its on hold, which is that they are out of stock :(

Any one else ordered these from Global or had dealings with them on mail order?

I was going to order season 3 & 4 from DVD.co.uk, but think I'll go for Play.com now

No order confirmation for me neither, but check the order tracking for info on your order. Mine is waiting for stock, from the look of it.

I just wish you didn't have to order, to find out if they have stock or not. It's nice to see some suppliers show if they are in stock at the browsing stage, like Play (assuming they are telling the truth)

At least it's good to see they seem to ship quickly if they have stock, if box986 order is anything to go by :)

Let us know how long they take to get to you.

I tried using the tracking order page but it doesn't work.

I have got the order number written down, but I entered start date and end date and it show up as no results.

Does this happen to you too?

Folks, I had the 4 seasons of Futurama pre-ordered with DVD.co.uk and got fed up waiting for them to come in stock - I cancelled the order yesterday and ordered them from Choices Direct - they all arrived today

So if you are thinking of cancelling orders and trying Play, I'd really recommend Choices as they are only a penny dearer but they are sooooooooooo much quicker for delivery.

Well, that's my tuppence worth :smashin:

I was keeping an eye on the Play thread and noticed how quick you received them from Choice. Thanks for your advice PearlJam.

I'm just about to order seasons 3 & 4 from Choice thanks to your post. For a pound difference from DVD.co , it's worth it to know they will be on their way tomorrow, hopefully :)

For the £3 difference from Global, who seem to be quick when they have the stock. I'll be patient and wait & see. Got to try these people sometimes, may be the last if they let me down

Once again thanks for the info

Sorry Kenobi didn't see your post there.

I've just been back on the Order Tracking, working OK for me, ( even if it is telling me it's 'On Hold' ) either by putting in the number or date range. Try putting in a wider date range.

If this is your first order and you can log in they must have received something from you to open your account.
If you still get no joy, I'd send them a email. The order tracking info was there for me straight after I sent the order in last night.

    Hope this helps

Typical...... Soon as I order from Choice (Who hopefully still have stock) DVD.co.uk are now showing the Futurama 1 - 4 sets in stock from this morning

Globalvideo.co.uk are still showing my order 'on hold' waiting for stock :(

So it looks like DVD.co.uk or Choicesdirect.com if you want your Futurama box sets quickly.

"Good news everyone!" It looks like Planet Express is delivering my pakages this very moment ;)
Just checked mail and both Choice & Global have despatched all Futurama orders today

Interesting to see which arrives first.

So Global looks like decent supplier so far & Choice looks as good as everyone says.

Got to go ....... Simpsons are on TV. Not got their DVDs yet

I don't think Global is very good.

My orders for the Simpsons are on hold. I also had to email them to make my order tracking work.

But for that price, you get what you pay for.

All my orders arrived this morning :D

Well, based on box986 experience & mine, Global are OK.

For me, Global only took 1 day more than Choice, who for mail order are very fast, can't really fault Global too much, can't fault Choice at all.

Comparing the two, Choice was faster than Global, but for box986 it was next day despatch, then next day delivery.

I have to say that Choice packaging was better... a cardboard box with the 2 box sets packed out with paper, delivered by Parcel Force.
Global was a big padded envelope (bubblewrap), delivered by Royal Mail 1st class, recorded delivery.

None of the sets were damaged, but Choice was definitely better packaged.

So it's big thumbs up  to both Global & Choice.
I'll certainly use Global Again, but if the prices were the same then Choice is at the top for me. :smashin:
