    Hi,

I got my Simpsons S6 box-set this morning and the Homer head is, in my opinion, rubbish.

I'm going to ask a friend in the US to ring up and order the replacement case for me and then ship it over.

BUT.... my version is the Canadian R1 boxset, and I just wanted to check if the phone number is the same as in the true US R1 box set.

The number I have is 1 800 223 2369 - is this the number you have?

Hopefully, if they have enought requests/complaints they may well at least release the remaining seasons as "some in the empty head" and "some in the normal box" so we can at least choose which one to purchase.

    Many thanks,

    Matthew

Yep that is the same number but it mentions a deal on the leaflet so I doubt they will be sending out the old style packaging for free, I expect they will either charge for it or will want you to return your current set for a replacement in the original style packaging.

Has anyone actually tried ringing this number for the replacement box???

I phoned about a week before the official US release date and at that time the number was for a Financial Consultancy Firm (??!!!) with nothing to do with the Simpsons.

.....and yes I did use the right international dialling code etc.

    Very curious.

Perhaps the 1 800 (US free phone) prefix is not applicable when dialing from overseas.

Apparently, it's the wrong number on the leaflet... it should be 1-888 not 1-800.

Nothing is wrong with the Homer Head, par se, I guess. Personally, I think it is of very poor quality. The plastic seems like the sort that is used in chocolate selection boxes, but just a very little bit thicker.

Fox are offering replacement packaging that matches the other 5 seasons, if you prefer to have them all matching on the shelf, which I would.

Also, the original number was correct, according to The Digital Bits it has only recently be activated so if you are in the US you can either ring the number or use a website to request the older style packaging.

By the way, I dont suppose anyone here wants to help me out trying to get it do they? as I know zero people in the US.

No way to get R1 packaging if you live inside the UK but I guess when they release the R2 set they will offer a similar deal but you will have to buy the R2 set to get the info you need to qualify.
