Hi all, first post and all that :hiya:

Apologies for such a simple query but have finally bought a DV79 to feed into the Pioneer 434 via HDMI but I've fallen at the first hurdle.

Have connected the HDMI cable and then tried going into the Home Menu on the screen and choosing Option to enable the HDMI input. However, the HDMI Input option is greyed out and I'm not able to select it. Instead I get the message "current settings do not allow selection and adjustment".

What am I doing wrong? I expect it's something stupid but at 10.45 at night my brain's not working properly so I can't tell what I'm doing wrong.

Any help on set-up gratefully received.

You need to make sure that you are operating the menu for Input 3. Press the #3 key at the top of the remote to activate that input and then press the menu button, go to options > HDMI and it should give you the option to Enable or Disable.

    Thanks hutters, that worked fine.

Was sure I was on input 3 last night but obviously not!
