Dixons with their current 5% discount and the subsequent Sky cashback would make the 550T @ £564 and the 650T @ £611 (maybe even a price-match elsewhere?). A difference of £47 is not a lot, but after reading numerous threads so far, I'm still not sure which is the best day-to-day TV for movies and sport and I'm leaning towards the 550T as having fewer issues?
The reason I haven't short-listed a Panasonic plasma is because there is no PC connection possible, but I'm still open to suggestions of up to £600. A Samsung 40" is too small.
