Im a little ashamed to ask this but im only young n trying
to piece together a good sound system. I purchased a dvd recorder
with dolby digital and dts 2.0 + digital out (Model DMR-E75 Panasonic). Am i going to be able to
have a decent surround sound from it, ie 5.1 or 6.1? When connected
    upto a good amplifier.

Im just concerned i should of purchased a 5.1 compatable dvd player?

Thanks and appreciate the response cause want to carry on building
my system up. Linking all upto a 42" Viera.

Just hook the player to any AV receiver with Dolby and DTS decoding capability (all of them really) using a digital out cable (optical or coax) and presto :) !

Make sure you get a receiver with DTS-ES 6.1 and DTS 96/24 capability, nice advanced surround formats.

Thankyou for your prompt reply, this will
all make sense one day. The speakers on the Viera
seem to have too much mid range. So i need to upgrade.

Having obviously spent alot on my Viera n DVD recorder, im looking
to finish the sound part for £500 - £600. Lets c how it goes.

    Again Thanks
