:lease:I have recently purchased a Humax LU26-TD1 LCD TV. What I need to know is how do you record DVD from a TV with freeview tuner built in?

TV has AV1, AV2 but no RF loop through so how do I record.

Do I connect AV1 on TV to scart in [DVD] to record digital channels and AV2 [TV] to scart out[DVD] to watch DVD's.

TV manual says both AV1 and 2 output digital TV signal...stumped even though it is probably very simple, as am I!!!

I think scart 2 may be freeview out.

scart dvd out ->tv scart 1 (might be labeled rgb) in.
scart dvd in ->tv scart 2 out.

Select AV1 on tv as this will be scart 1.
On dvd recorder select AV1 and you shold see the freeview from the tv.

Thanks Marty2005, I think I tried this combo with no luck. Will try again tomorrow first thing.

Both AV1 and AV2 are RGB as far as I know but AV2 outputs all signals from TV, ie digital TV analogue signal etc etc.

    http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/pdf/LU26-TD1_leaflet.pdf Rather large 2.8mb .pdf so below is pasted info;

    Inputs / Outputs
    CI 1 CI
    SCART 2
    RGB SCART(among SCARTs) 2
    Composite In(V/L/R) 1
    S-Video 1 (Share w/ CVBS)
    Component(Y/Pb/Pr) 1
    HDMI 1
    S/PDIF 1 optical
    RS-232C 1
    Headphone Output 1

I think the problem may be my cheapo Goodmans GDVD301R which i had problems recording from my Hummy PVR9200T in the past. Some have said here in AV Forums that this DVDR doesn't manage RGB in. This I find really strange if true...but if connecting the TV all singing all dancing AV2 to DVD scart in doesn't work then I'll be buying new recorder I guess.:suicide:
