My 88 year old mother-in-law has a Sony KDL-37W5810. She seems happy with it but it seems that this does not have a Freeview HD receiver. I was considering if I could enhance her viewing by getting a simple Freeview HD receiver which I could make simple for her to use with the few channels she watches. Any suggestions guys?

Is she going to appreciate the improved picture quality or is the extra complexity of a external box with a different remote control going to mean calls for you to sort out why she has no TV?

Or is it just you that thinks she should have the added complexity of a STB with HD? And as it's 'only' a 37" set, she will have to be pretty close to see any appreciable difference.
